DECREE THAT ALLOWED OPENING OF THE BORDER FOR LOADS IS CANCELED

The Brazilian Border with Guyana was opened on Thursday,December 24th,2020 only for the entry of Cargo. The Decree was canceled due to the increase in Covid-19 Cases in the Neighboring Country.

With the Cancellation, the Border remains closed and with no opening forecast for the delivery of Cargo.

The Decree that allowed the opening of the Brazil / Guyana Border for the entry of Cargoes on Thursday, December 24th,2020, was canceled due to the increase in the Number of Cases of Covid-19 in Guyana. The Information was given by the Secretariat for International Relations, Ilane Herz, after a Conversation with the English Consul of Guyana, Shirlley Melville, this Wednesday Morning, December 23rd,2020.

According to Ilane, the Number of Cases in English Guyana has risen from 389 to 396 in the last Four Days.

“As They have always had strict control over the Entry and Proliferation of the Virus, the Document has been canceled and there is no Opening Forecast,” he said.

DECREE –

The Frontier was opened on Thursday,December 24th,2020, from 7 am to 5 pm, exclusively for the Entry of Cargo. The Document was signed by the Director of the National Covid-19 Task Force Secretariat (NCFT), Colonel Nazrul Hussain, on the December 21st,2020.
