BOAT OPERATOR REMANDED TO JAIL FOR HARBORING PRISON ESCAPEES
Sixty-Years-old Ralph Jones, a Boat Operator of 114 Fourth Avenue Bartica was remanded to Jail when he appeared at the Vreed- en- Hoop Magistrate’s Court to answer to Four Counts of comforting, harbouring and maintaining Four Fugitives.
He appeared before Magistrate Christal Lambert and was not required to plea to the indictable Charges. He is expected to make his next Court Appearance on March 5th, 2021.
The Charges against him state that on February 16th, 2021 at the above-aforementioned Address, Jones harbored, comforted, received, and maintained Imran Ramsaywack, Kenrick Lyte, Samuel Gouveia, and Ryan Jones knowing they were convicted escaped Prisoners from the Mazaruni Prison.
Jones’ Attorney Adrian Thompson added that his Client’s Son showed up at his Home along with the other Three Escapees and requested Money and Food. Thompson further argued that Jones who was fearful for his life complied due to the given fact.
