TWO GOLD MINERS PERISHES IN A GOLD MINING MISHAP AT THE KUMUNG – KUMUNG BACKDAM.
Two Guyanese Gold Miners perished yesterday afternoon, Friday, July 22nd,2022 after earthen Materials accidentally covered them during their Gold Mining activities in the Kumung – Kumung Backdam.
The Kumung – Kumung Backdam is geographically located in the Number Three, Mazaruni Gold Mining District, of Region Seven.
Details up to last Evening,Friday, July 22nd,2022 were then indicating that Persons nearby , had only managed to retrieve the Body of One of the Gold Miners,and efforts were ongoing to retrieve the other.
Further Details this Morning Saturday, July 23rd,2022, are now indicating that during the period of time from last evening, to this Morning, Persons nearby have also managed to retrieve the other Body.
Law Enforcement Personnel from the Regional Police Division Number Seven are already in the Area conducting investigations further into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate occurrence.
