DELEGATES FOR MISS AMERINDIAN HERITAGE PAGENT 2022 SASHED AT THE LAUNCH OF LOWER MAZARUNI HERITAGE GAMES – REGION SEVEN

Sunday,August 7th,2022 the Batavia Villiage was the Host Venue for the launch of this Year’s Lower Cuyuni-Mazaruni,Region Seven Heritage Games.

The launching Ceremony of this Year’s Heritage Games unfolded with a colourful “March Pass” Parade, with each participating Softball Cricket Team, uniformly dressed parading behind their Team’s Banners,representing in total the Eight Villages of Region Seven that are participating in this Year’s 2022 Competition.

The Competition Format will have the Teams divided into Two Groups , to facilitate Two Teams representing each Villiage,but, each Team will be in a separate Group, meaning each Team will have an opportunity to compete against each other, during the Competition Fixtures.

Games are scheduled to be played at Venues around the Lower Cuyuni – Mazaruni District, Region Seven.

The Sashing Ceremony of the Ten Delegates for this Year’s Miss Amerindian Heritage Pageant ,Region Seven was also realized last Sunday,

where the Delegates before being ceremonially sashed by their respective Villiage Leaders and Representatives, were involved in a process to select their Delegate Number. This will now numerically identify each Delegate, and promote their respective Communities, during this Year’s Pageant Activities as follows :-

Ms Candy Williams is the Coordinator of this Year’s Pageant.

This Year’s 2022 Lower Cuyuni-Mazaruni,Region Seven Heritage Games and
the Miss Amerindian Heritage Pagent ,Region Seven, are scheduled to be completed conveniently, so as to identify, and facilitate Region Seven’s participation, in the Miss Guyana Indigenous Heritage Pageant, and the Guyana Indigenous Heritage Games 2022.

Feature Addresses at this Occasion were done by the Toshao of Batavia, Mr. Orin Williams, the Prime Minister’s Representative for Region Seven, Mr Erwin Ward, and Mr. Eon Boyal,who delivered a Message on behalf of the Minister Madame Pauline Sukhai for the Ministry of Amerindian Affairs.
