HARMONY LODGE No.112-2 HONOURS TOP STUDENTS OF REGION SEVEN NGSA 2022 DURING 62ND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS.
Harmony Lodge No. 112-2 on Sunday ,September 25th, 2022 commemorated it’s Sixty Second Anniversary ( 1960 – 2022 ). The Municipality of Bartica, Region Seven where the Lodge has a League, was identified as this Year’s Host Venue for the Lodge’s Celebrations.
The Activities for the Day commenced at 08:00 Hrs., with a Church Service that was officiated by the Rt. Reverend Alfred David , Suffragan Bishop , Diocese of Guyana, at the St. John the Baptist Church,Triangle Street,Bartica Town, Region Seven, afterwhich there was a Parade under Police Escort by the Lodge, from the Church to the Leanna’s Banqueting Hall,Fifth Avenue and Third Street , Bartica Town, Region Seven.
Master of Ceremony for the Program at Leanna’s Banqueting Hall was Hon.Bro.Gervy C.Harry.HP. PWM. The Program there included Toasts to the President and Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, to the Grand Lodge of America, to the Guyana District Grand Lodge No.1, to the Harmony Lodge 112-2, to all Mechanics where ever dispersed, to all Delegates and Special Invitees to the Occassion.
Gifts of One Laptop Computer, One Tablet, and One Scientific Calculator were then presented to the most outstanding Students of Region Seven at the 2022 National Grade Six Assessments.
A brief History of Harmony Lodge 112-2 was provided by the Lodge’s Secretary Bro.Mark Mc Kenzie.
A keynote Address was then provided by Mr Kenneth Williams Regional Chairman for Region Seven, afterwhich he was inducted as an Honourary Brother by the most Worshipful District Grand Master Hon. Bro. Edward E. Williams.
The Feature Address was then provided by the most Worshipful District Grand Master Hon. Bro. Edward E. Williams.
The Independent United Order of Mechanics, Friendly Society is among the most ancient of the great Fraternal Orders. It is to be found throughout the civilized World. It numbers among it’s Members, Persons who occupy some of the highest Positions in all Branches of Government. It makes it’s appeal not only to the opulent and powerful, but to all those who are physically and morally sound, to the end that it may carry out those humane Principles of Charity and Benevolence, not only among it’s Initiates, who are banded together by those solemn and indissoluble Ties which are the Characteristics of the Order, but that through them it may be instrumental in spreading to Society at large, the true meaning of Fidelity, Benevolence and Truth.
