GUN MEN INVADE KAIETEUR NEWS SAFFON STREET LOCATION

Three Gunmen invaded local Newspaper Kaieteur News just after Midnight on Monday,October 10th,2022, and held Three Staff at Gunpoint as they made off with Millions in Cash, along with a 9mm Handgun with Ammunition.

Kaieteur News Publisher Mr. Glenn Lall subsequently stated to the Media, that the Incident occurred around 00:50Hrs., at the Company’s Saffon Street, Georgetown Location, where Noel Junior, a 63-Years-old Security Guard; Wayne Little, a 20-Years-old Graphic Designer and Joshua Junior, a 35-Years-old Security Guard were made to lie on the Floor, while the Gunmen made their way to the Second Floor of the Building.

Police Headquarters reported too that the Men were robbed of Smartphones and $5000 in Cash, whiles the Editorial Staff were also in the Building at the said time of the Incident.

Mr. Lall related further : “What the Security said is they [held them at Gunpoint], put them to lie down, and they went Upstairs, broke the Accounts [Department] Door, and then broke One of the Drawers that they keep the Petty Cash in.” Mr Lall did not wish to disclose the exact amount of Cash the Suspects took, but noted, that it was Millions, and the Suspects only took about Five Minutes to carry out the Robbery, however Mr. Lall believes it was an inside Job.

Mr Lall also explained : “It was an inside Job, because there is no way somebody will come off the Road, and see Several Desks, and go to One particular Drawer, break it and pick up the Safe.”

While the Company’s Security Camera captured images of the Men, it was however immediately difficult to identify them, since they had also turned off the Lights in the Building and were also wearing Face Masks.

Police also stated the Suspects had arrived in a Gold coloured Spacio Motor Car, but the Registration Number is not yet known.
