SEVEN REMANDED IN CONNECTION TO THE KAIETEUR NEWS ROBBERY

Seven Men were Friday Afternoon,October 14th,2022 remanded to Prison in connection to the Kaieteur News Robbery.

Those charged are: Ryan Wharton, 33, a former Research Assistant with Kaieteur News and Resident of R4-574, Canary Street, Tucville; Security Guard Joshua Junor, 35 of Middle Street, La Penitence; Ivor Belingie called ‘WildLife’; Lemuel Grant, 23, a Clerk of Russell Street Charlestown; Harry Stongster, 36 of Hyde Park Timehri, East Bank Demerara; Collis Haywood, 40, Chef of Lot R2-578 Canary Street, Tucville and Kevin France, 35 a Taxi-Driver of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.

The Defendants made their First Court appearance before Chief Magistrate Madame McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts. They were all remanded to Prison, and are expected to make their next Court Appearance on November 9th, 2022.
