RDC OF REGION SEVEN PERPLEXED WITH THE INFORMAL CLAIMS OF A SOCIAL MEDIA ARTICLE
……… to an Area, already in proposed Focus, within the 2023 Project Estimates of the RDC.

The Regional Democratic Council RDC., of Region Seven is currently perplexed of Claims contained in a recently published Social Media Article.

The said Article highlighted on another Project of focus, for a specific Area , that both the Regional Democratic Council, RDC., of Region Seven, and the Bartica Town Council are also claiming, to possess no formal knowledge of same.

The RDC., of Region Seven annually in it’s established Administrative Cycle, engages in the process of Regional Budget preparations for the forthcoming Year. This Regional Administrative Process focuses specifically on the maintenance and expansion of the means for Services, that are being conveyed through the RDC, and also the continual development of the Region. Elements of this annual preparation Process by the RDC., are Consultations, Deliberations, and Consensus towards Submissions.

Abandoned Caria Hotel Area at Second Avenue and Second Street Junction, Bartica Town, Region Seven.

However during the recent deliberations of the Regional Budget 2023 preparations by the RDC of Region Seven, the abandoned Caria Hotel Area, at the Second Avenue, and Second Street Location, in Bartica Town, was identified as an Area of proposed focus, for the intended establishment of a G$180M Three Storeys, Multi-Purpose Building, owning to it’s geographical proximity to the Bartica Town’s Regional Public Hospital, where Medical Personnel’s access “both ways” , would be ideally convenient in all cases of Medical Emergencies.

The Details of this Project has identified itself as a Three Storeys Multi-Purpose Building, within the Region Seven RDC’s 2023 Estimates, by Activities, with the Project Code being 2601800, and Titled : Buildings Health, with Unit Cost estimated at G$180 000 000., for the Programme: 774 – Health Services.

Remarks in this Submission highlighted, that with the modernization of the Bartica Town’s Regional Public Hospital being well underway, this Building is needed to provide accommodation for the Specialists, GMOs, Nurses and Technicians on it’s Second, and Third Floors respectively, where on the First Floor there will be a Training Area and Library, for Nursing Assistants; Community Healthcare Workers; Pharmacy and Laboratory Assistants, further, the First Floor will facilitate the relative ongoing Training Programs, that are currently being facilitated in a small Board Room at the Bartica Town Regional Public Hospital’s Location.

The Regional Democratic Council of Region Seven at this junction, is now perplexed,after undertaking it’s formal Mandate to now being made aware of a Facebook Post, conveying publicly, information contradicting the intended purposes of it’s Project Proposal contained in it’s 2023 Regional Budget Proposal , for the said Area in focus, at the Second Avenue and Second Street Location, in Bartica Town.

The Regional Democratic Council of Region Seven however, remains unreservedly committed infinitely,
through it’s Mandate, to continue procedurally embracing through consensus, the facilitation of all Capital developmental Works, and similar Initiatives that are unfolding, and also those, that are intended for the Region, towards ultimately improving significantly and sincerely, the Livelihood of the Residents, in the Municipality of Bartica, and by extension Region Seven, Cuyuni / Mazaruni.
