BARTICA TOWN AFTER A TWO YEARS HIATUS EAGERLY SAVOUR THE GLITZ OF DIWALI 2022 LIGHT UP IN FULL MODE.
Monday, October 24th,2022 the Municipality of Bartica,Region Seven notably, commemorated the Occassion of Diwali 2022, the Festival of Lights in full flare and mode, with less social Restraints, that were in place for the past Two Years, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and the enforcement of National COVID-19 Emergency Protocols,that limited all Social Activities.
This Year with the transitioning towards the normal mode of Life, there is now a lot to reflect on, by Guyanese, with the commemorative significance of Diwali 2022. Good conquering Evil, and Light conquering Darkness. Indeed it is not fully bright, nor fully dark, where the COVID-19 Pandemic is concerned still, but as a Generation, Statistics are now indicating that we have been through worst times, during the past Two Years with the COVID-19 Pandemic.
DIWALI 2022 : Barticans were elated to reintegrate cautiously into Social Life where Social Activities were concerned so far for this Year. Regattas were undertaken, the Amerindian Heritage Month Celebration Activities and recently Diwali 2022, where everyone continued, to cautiously test out socialising in Crowds.
Hence these circumstances, dawned upon everyone, to yield physcologically, towards defining their concepts of reintegration to normal Life, along with the Holistic significance of Diwali, in the Municipality of Bartica, Region Seven.
Bartica Town always considered as an “Ethnic melting Pot” once again, demonstrated through this Festival of Lights evidently by the interest, and involement, of the wide cross Section of the Municipality, to confirm that the Township continues to transend from the Cultural, Ethnic and Religious Barriers in Society, towards Unity, as they also sincerely embrace the conceptual Holistic significance of Light unreservedly.
Barticans on Monday Evening last freely without much health concerns, shared and indulged in the consumption of Sweet Meats everywhere, where in many instances emphatically querying, from our Hindhu Brothers and Sisters, about their share of Sweet Meats , raising suspicion of a particular secretly reknown Flavour.
Many Families in Vehicles last Monday Evening, also lined up behind each other, along First Street,Bartica Town, Region Seven, for about Two Blocks in length, driving cautiously and unusually orderly without supervision, in an Eastern direction past the popular Sirs Gas Station Location, to be treated to their Share of Sweet Meats, many also approached by walking, but, everyone was indeed elated, and happy to be there, to yet again celebrate the Occassion of Diwali, Festival of Lights 2022, with the comforting thoughts of yes indeed, they did physically saw this Year’s Diwali Lighting up, at all the Residences, that they are familiar with, along the Seven Avenues and Nine Streets of Central Bartica Town, and yes of course, they did had their share of Sweet Meats. Yes indeed again Barticans were satisfied to once more, physically comemorate Diwali in 2022.
Last Monday Evening some choosed to walk, ride or drove around central Bartica Town to observe the Festival of Lights, both young, and not too young, but, all were observed to be excited, and elated, to once again see the light of Love , Unity, and of course celebrate physcologically, Victory over the darkness of the Pandemic, during the preceding Two Years of Lockdown.
