PERRY FATALLY CHOPPED IN REGION NINE.
The Police in Region Nine are now investigating the Murder of 34 Years old Aeriey Matthews also known as ” Perry “, who along with a co-Worker on Friday Night , October 28th, 2022, were brutally chopped by Two Suspects, on the Annai Access Road, in North Rupununi, Region Nine.
The injured Man has been identified as Radesh Phulya, a 48-Years-old Driver, who subsequently told the Police that he along with Aeriey Matthews, and Three other Work Colleagues were in a White Canter Vehicle, parked on the Annai access Road that Night, consuming Itapava Beers, when at around Mid-Night, the Two Suspects approached them and pulled him (Phulya) off of the Canter, and started chopping him (Phulya) about his Body,Matthews then tried to intervene to stop the attack but instead, the suspects turned their attention onto him, and began attacking him. During the altercation, Matthews was chopped to his Right Forearm, and Chest.
During the Attack, the other Work Collegues who were also present at the Scene, got scared and ran away, after the Attack, the Two Suspects made good their Escape in a Car.
Matthews and Phulya were later picked up by Public-spirited Persons, and placed in the Canter. One of the Individuals then drove them to the Annai Health Centre, where Radesh was treated and his Condition was said to be stable then, however, Matthews was pronounced dead on arrival by the Doctor on duty there.
Police have since learnt that the Attack might have stemmed from a jealous rage over a Female Teacher, that Phulya had been talking to earlier at a Bar. Police are currently hunting for the Suspects.
The body of the deceased is being kept at the Lethem Regional Public Hospital’s Mortuary, pending arrangements for an Autopsy, as the Police Investigations are still in progress.
