RAPE ACCUSED BASHA SENTENCED TO 13 YEARS

Laldeo Jadgeo also known as ‘Basha’, a 62-Years-old Rice Farmer of Devonshire Castle, Essequibo Coast, who was charged for the Offence of, Rape of a Child under 16 Years, has been sentenced for the Offence.

Laldeo Jadgeo who committed the Offence between September, and October 2019, at the Lima Sands Backdam,Essequibo Coast, was sentenced to 13 Years Imprisonment during the Period of 08:30 Hrs., and 10:30 Hrs., on Tuesday, November 9th,2022, when the Case was heard at the Suddie High Court, before Justice Madame Jo-Ann Barlow, when the Accused who was on Remand, made his appearance virtually, from Prison.

He was sentenced on Two Counts of Rape, 13 Years for the First Count of Rape, and 13 Years for the Second Count of Rape, both Sentences will be served concurrently.
