REGION SEVEN POLICE ADMINISTRATION TEAM MEETS WITH COMMERCIAL SECTOR OF CENTRAL BARTICA TOWN DURING WALK ABOUT


On Tuesday Afternoon, November 14th,2022 an Administration Team from the Regional Police Division Number Seven, led by Commander Senior Superintendent Mr. Dion Moore met with Business Owners in the Central Commercial Area of Bartica Town during a Walk about.
The Visitation Area of focus was the First Avenue and Second Avenue, between Third and Fifth Streets.
Earlier on Tuesday Morning, November 15th, 2022 Regional Commander Senior Superintendent Mr Dion Moore had presented the Division’s Year-end Christmas 2022 Policing Activities, to Regional Stakeholders at the Board Room Venue, of the Bartica Town’s Municipality Building on First Avenue, Bartica Town. The “Walk about” is the initial undertaking from that Launch, of the Division’s Year-end Christmas Policing Activities for Region Seven.

Commander Senior Superintendent Mr. Dion Moore and Team interacted with Business Owners in the said Area , they were visibly elated, and encouraged by such a Visit, to have the priviledge of brief explanations and the reassurances, that were being given to them for the upcoming Year end – New Year Period.

The Business Owners also took the opportunity to express much on their Appreciation, and Gratitude, for this Year’s Security Initiatives that were undertaken by the Police, they also congratulated them on their efforts, towards the maintenance of an appreciated level of Peace and Order generally, in the Region. The Business Owners were also made to recognize that more Security focus is being had particularly, with the anticipated rise of the level of Socio-economic Activities for this Year-end, where there are now minimal Social Restrictions, for in comparison to last Year-end 2021, when there were the Restrictions of the National Emergency Protocols, that were in place for the COVID-19 Pandemic last Year end 2021.


Business Owner Mr M.R.D. Khan, at the Popular Dino’s Investments Limited,Second Avenue and Fifth Street Bartica Town , took the opportunity of the Visit by the Regional Police Administrative Team, to let it be known that, “you have to build on what you are holding”, and he also made it known that he considers the Division’s 2022 Year-end Policing Plans as “Magnificent”.

Deputy Commander, Deputy Superintendent,Mr Oswald Pitt then indicated to the Businessman that the Police continues to also look forward in building civic relationships, for indeed the Police alone cannot do it all, definitely, there needs to be more involvement by all Stakeholders, Mr. Pitt further stated that there would be heightened Security in the Business Areas, with more Ranks being on Patrol throughout the Day Period, and during the Night Period, there will be Mass Patrols throughout the Season, and onwards.
Regional Commander Mr Dion Moore then also encouraged the Businessman, by reassuring him, that the Regional Police Division Number Seven’s Year-end Christmas Policing Plans, will continue to roll out with the best interests of the Business Community at careful consideration also.
The Region’s Divisional Christmas Policing Activities, and Plans, have already unfolded from the Date of Tuesday,November 15th,2022,and will continue throughout the 2022 Year-end Period, towards the Date of the 15th January, 2023.
