DECOMPOSING BODY OF MISSING LAND SURVEYOR FOUND
The Police of Regional Police Division Number Seven has discovered the decomposing body of Land Surveyor Germaine LaRose in the Mazaruni River around the Imbaimadai Area, Upper Mazaruni, Region Seven on Tuesday Evening, November 22nd, 2022 .
Region Seven geographically, comprises of the Upper, Middle and Lower Sections, of both the Cuyuni and Mazaruni Areas. The Imbaimadai Area is located in the Upper Mazaruni Area, and Bartica Town is located in the lower Mazaruni Area, along the mighty Essequibo River.
Police Commander for Region Seven, Senior Superintendent Mr Dion Moore confirmed the discovery with the Media, and has also made it known further, that LaRose’s Wife will be traveling to the Area today Thursday, November 24th, 2022, to positively identify the remains that was found about Two Weeks after a Boat Mishap in the Mazaruni River, around the Imbaimadai Area Upper Mazaruni, that also claimed the Life of another Land Surveyor Terrence Thomas, whose body was recovered last Week.
LaRose and Thomas were in the Area to carry out Land surveying Work when the Boat that they were travelling in, reportedly sunk.
The Captain of the Boat, and another Passenger who managed to swim to safety, said La Rose and Thomas were the First to jump out of the Boat as it started to sink during the early Morning Trip. The Captain told Investigators that he only realised that the Two Men were missing when he made it to Shore.
A massive Search was then launched for the Two Men by the Joint Services in the Area until the discovery.The Boat that sunk with the Men however, is still to be recovered, as the Incident remains under a Probe.
