JOINT SEARCH CONDUCTED AT THE MAZARUNI PRISONS
A joint Search was conducted at the Mazaruni Prisons on Saturday, November 26th, 2022, during the period of 06:00 Hours to 10:15 Hours, headed by Deputy Commander for Regional Police Division Number Seven, Deputy Superintendent Mr. Oswald Pitt along with Second in Charge of the Mazaruni Prisons Superintendent Mr. David Shepherd, assisted by Ranks of both Bartica Town’s Police Station, and Mazaruni Prisons.
The Search was carried out in the Bricks, the Security Block, the Dormitory, and the Stores Locations, where Three Cellphones, 42 improvised Weapons, Fifteen Lighters, One Knife, Three Scissors, and a Quantity of Leaves, Seeds, and Stems suspected to be Cannabis were discovered.
The suspected Narcotics were weighed and amounted to 116 Grams.These prohibited Items were lodged at the Bartica Town’s Police Station.
