BARTICA MAN SENTENCED TO THREE YEARS IN PRISON
— fined $445,500 on Ganja possession Charge

Shaquille Charles, a 27-Years-old unemployed Man of Lot 51 , Seventh Avenue, Bartica Town, Region Seven, appeared at the Bartica Town Magistrate’s Court at around 09:00 Hrs., today Wednesday,December 7th,2022 before presiding Magistrate, Madame Crystal Lambert, to answer to the Charge of illegal possession of Narcotics for the purpose of Trafficking, to which he pleaded Guilty, and was sentenced to Three (3) Years Imprisonment along with a Fine of $445,500.

On Sunday, December 4th, 2022, at about 23:15 Hrs., Police searched the Seventh Avenue Home of Charles, where they found 293 Grams of suspected Cannabis stashed in a Black Plastic Bag containing a Quantity of Leaves, Seeds and Stems suspected to be Cannabis in a Room. He was subsequently arrested on December 5th,2022 and charged today Wednesday, December 7th,2022.
