BROTHERS ALLEGEDLY CONFESSED TO KILLING LAND SURVEYOR

Two Brothers reportedly confessed to the killing of Land Surveyor Ricky Oswald Ambrose on Sunday, December 18th,2022 in the Arimu Backdam, Cuyuni Mining District Number Four, Region Seven.

Randel Layne and Mario Moses told Police Investigators yesterday,Sunday, December 25th,2022 that Ambrose had shot at their Camp, and threatened to kill them, if they did not move off of the Land they were working on.

According to Reports, the Duo told Police Investigators that back on October 18th, 2022, Ambrose went to their Camp, and informed them that they needed to leave the Land they were on in the Arimu Backdam.

They further allegedly told Detectives that Ambrose then shot One of their Pumps, and threatened to kill them if they went back to the Land. The Men then on Sunday, December 18th,2022, armed themselves with pieces of Wood, and proceeded to the “Gauna Sand” Trail in the Arimu Backdam, and hid behind some Trees. When Ambrose was passing, One of the Brothers struck him off the ATV, while the other stabbed him about his Body. They then took his Gun, and threw it in a Creek and went back to Camp.

However, at about 11:00 Hrs on the said Sunday, December 18th, 2022, a 24-Years-old Miner who was heading from his “Work Ground” to his “Camp-Ground”, observed a Body lying motionless on the Ground with multiple Injuries, whiles he was walking along a Trail in the Arimu Backdam. The Body was about 20 Feet from the ATV. An Alarm was raised, and a Report was also subsequently made to the Bartica Town’s Police Station, where a procedural response to the Scene of the Crime by the Bartica Town’s Police then unfolded in dark,Rainy Weather Conditions. On arrival to the Scene of the Crime, the Police conducted their initial Crime Scene Investigations, and subsequently escorted the Body out from the Arimu Backdam.

The consequential Law Enforcement results now accomplished from this criminal occurrence, has indeed exposed the initial baseless criticisms of some against the Standard Operational Procedures of Law Enforcement, which has in itself, procreated communal suspicion too, as to why positive advocacy was not engaged instead from the relevant Stakeholders, for the continual maintenance of the Interior Infrastructure, for the Number Three, and Number Four, Mining Districts, in Region Seven, which will definitely boost the Socio-economic Welfare, the support for Morality, and the Enforcement of Law and Order, in these Geographically Challenging Mining Districts of Region Seven, in any of the prevaling Weather Conditions, whether it also be Day, or Night.
