MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER COMMITTED AT FAUL MOUTH
The Police in Regional Police Division Number Two,on Saturday, January 7th, 2023, arrested Twenty Nine Years old Stephen Rodrigues of Goshen Village, Essequibo River, and also from the Pomeroon Area, Region Two,for the Crime of Attempt Murder, committed in the Faul Mouth Community, Essequibo River.
It had been reported that Twenty Nine Years old Stephen Rodrigues at around 19:00 Hours on Tuesday,December 20th,2022 attempted to Murder 59 Years old Lynette Braithwaite, and 60 Years old Joseph Braithwaite, by chopping them about their Bodies with a sharp Weapon, after a misunderstanding between Stephen Rodrigues and Joseph Braithwaite at the Faul Mouth Community, Essequibo River.
Stephen Rodrigues after committing the Criminal Act left the Scene of the Crime, and was said to have been hiding out for a while in the Kow Kow Area, which is located further up the Essequibo River from the Faul Mouth Community, opposite the St. Mary Community.
Both Lynette and Joseph Braithwaite after the Incident, were rushed from the Faul Mouth Community to the Bartica Town’s Regional Public Hospital to seek Medical attention, they were subsequently referred to the Georgetown Public Hospital for further Medical attention, and were hospitalised there for a short while, currently, they are still recuperating at their Residence, in the Faul Mouth Community.
The Faul Mouth Community and the Goshen Village, are located next to each other along the Essequibo River, in an opposite Eastern direction across the Essequibo River, from Bartica Town.
The Braithwaite Couple earned their living from Farming and Fishing around the Faul Mouth Community, and have been incapacitated to do so, since the Incident, they have also alleged that Stephen Rodrigues, was involved in a similar Incident in the Pomeroon Area, before he took up residence in the Goshen Village.
Stephen Rodrigues will now be processed by the Police, where all relative Crimnal Charges will imminently be brought against him in Court, at the most convenient occasion.
