YOUNG WOMAN PERISHES DURING ANOTHER ROAD MISHAP IN BARTICA TOWN

23 Years old Felicia Lewis perished on Thursday Afternoon , February 16th,2023 after being involved in a Road Mishap in Bartica Town, Essequibo River, Region Seven.

The Road Mishap occurred around 15:38 Hours at the Junction of Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street,Bartica Town, Region Seven. The now deceased Felicia Lewis was at the time of the Road Mishap a Pillion Rider on a Motorcycle, being operated by her Husband, 26 Years old David Huggins.

Reports are alleging that the Bike was proceeding in an Eastern Direction along Fifth Street, to the Fourth Avenue Junction, when it collided with the Right-Side Front portion, of a Grey coloured Toyota 212 Model Car, bearing License Registration Number Plate PRR 5669, that was heading in a Southern Direction along Fourth Avenue, just after it had stopped at the Fifth Street Junction, and then moved off from it’s Stop Position.

The Duo after making impact with the Car were flung off the Bike onto the Roadway , and were subsequently transported to the Bartica Town’s Regional Public Hospital, where David Huggins condition was listed as critical due to the injuries he had sustained about his Body.

David Huggins was subsequently air-dashed by the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) to the Georgetown, on Thursday Night, February 16th,2023, for further Medical attention, where his condition is listed as critical,whiles the Driver of the Car was identified as 66-Years-old Byron Prearson, a Taxi Driver of Mongrippa Hill, Bartica Town, Region Seven, he was also breathalyzed, and the results read .000 BAC. He is currently in Police custody assisting them with their Investigations further into the circumstances surrounding this Traffic Accident.

The Body of the now deceased Accident Victim is being escorted to Georgetown for a Post Mortem Examination.
