POLICE RECOVER FIREARM AND AMMUNITION DURING PATROL AT THE BLUE MOUNTAIN BACKDAM

Police Ranks in Regional Police Division Number Seven on Friday, February 3rd,2023 at around 11:30 Hours arrested Ryan Albert David, a 41-Years-old Gold Miner.

The Police Ranks at the said time and Date, were on Mobile Patrol Duties in the Blue Mountain Backdam, Cuyuni Number Four Mining District, Region Seven, and whiles traversing along the Morawa Backdam Trail on an All Terrain Vehicle,ATV., they encountered a Motor Pick-up bearing License Registration Number Plate GPP 4914, that was being driven by Ryan Albert David, a 41-Years-old Gold Miner.

The Police Ranks stopped the said Vehicle, searched it, where a Police Rank found a Black .32 Pistol with no Maker’s Name or Serial Numbers visible on it, and also Eleven (11) matching Rounds of Ammunition, in the Left Side Door Pocket of the said Vehicle.

The Suspect was told of the Allegation, cautioned, and admitted ownership of the Firearm and Ammunition. He was arrested and escorted to the Bartica Town’s Police Station, where the Firearm and Ammunition were placed in an Evidence Box, sealed, marked and lodged.

The Suspect continues to assist the Police with their Investigations further into this occurrence.
