REGIONAL POLICE DIVISION NUMBER SEVEN CONDUCTS OUTREACH EXERCISE AT BATAVIA COMMUNITY

Officer in Charge of Number One Sub Division Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP., Mr Doodnauth Chaitram and Inspector Mr Kirk Crawford led a Team of Police Ranks from the Bartica Town’s Police Station in a Community Outreach Exercise on Thursday Afternoon March 02nd, 2023,
with Residents of the Batavia Community, Cuyuni River, Region Seven.

The Outreach Exercise was hosted at the Batavia Community Heath Outpost, where about Thirty Residents from the Community were in attendance.

The Issues resolutely highlighted and focused on towards resolving during this Outreach Exercise were : Drug Abuse within the Community,Domestic Violence,District Patrol,Youth Group Activities, Intelligence Network Strategy to curb Crime within the Village, Unlicensed Persons operating Speed Boats including School Children, and Fundraising Activities for the Community Policing Group.

Batavia is an Amerindian Community located about One Kilometre from where the Mouth of the Cuyuni River reaches the Mazaruni River, which then flows into the mighty Essequibo River around the Northern Shoreline Area of the Municipality of Bartica, Region Seven.
