MAN NABBED IN SEWANDA BACKDAM WITH MARIJUANA CHARGED AND REMANDED TO PRISON

Ulric Lambert, a 39-Years-old Gold Miner of Grove Squatting Area, East Bank Demerara, appeared on Wednesday Morning, March 22nd,2023 at the Bartica Town Magistrate’s Court before presiding Magistrate Madame Crystal Lambert, where the Charge of Possession of Narcotics for Trafficking was read to him.

He pleaded ‘not guilty’, and was remanded to Prison. The Matter is to be recalled on Tuesday, April 11th,2023.

Ulric Lambert was nabbed on Sunday, March 19th, 2023, at the Sewanda Backdam by Members of a Police Patrol who were conducting an Operation between the Sewanda and the Turtle Creek Backdams.

Whilst in the Sewanda Backdam, the Ranks approached a Shop when they observed Lambert standing beside the Shop, throwing a Purple Haversack on the Ground. Upon checking the Bag, the Ranks found 22 transparent Parcels of Leaves, Seeds and Stems suspected to be Cannabis, weighing 739.6 Grams.
