BARTICA REGATTA ORGANIZING COMMITTEE FINALIZING RACING DAY PREPARATIONS
The required preparations for the
” We Outside ” Bartica Easter Regatta Powerboat Racing Competition 2023 are all on stream to be in place, for the scheduled Date of Sunday, April 9th,2023 at the Bartica Town’s Golden Beach Racing Circuit Venue, for Powerboat Racing Competition.
Regional Chairman Mr. Kenneth Williams who also leads the Regatta Organizing Committee, met with Stakeholders, at the Bartica Town’s Golden Beach Park Venue, on Tuesday, April 4th,2023. In attendance were Representatives of the Maritime Administration, (MARAD), the Director of Maritime Safety – Captain Courtney McDonald, Power Boat Racing Competitors, and Representatives of Farm Supplies Limited.
The Meeting’s Agenda prioritized on Safety during the Powerboat Racing Competition, the outlining of Maritime Proposals, identifying an alternative Route for Users of the River during the Powerboat Racing Competition on Sunday, April 9th, 2023, the Coordinates for the Racing Circuit Buoys were also identified, likewise the Emergency Response Plans. A Notice to Mariners from the relevant Stakeholder Body would also be issued, formally informing the general Public of the Changes to the usual River Routes, that abounds the Racing Circuit, in order to safely facilitate the Powerboat Racing Events, on the mentioned Date.
The Bartica Easter Regatta Power Boat Racing Competition is the largest recreational Marine Event, and this Year’s 2023 Power Boat Racing Competition will experience an upgrade of Racing Standards, that will include the addition of upgraded Safety Boats, Medical Emergency Plans, the enforcement of Rules with applicable repercussions, and there will also be the presence of Enforcement Personnel during the Event.
Regional Chairman Mr Kenneth Williams at this Occassion also took the opportunity to urge on the return of Patrons to this Year’s 2023 Easter Regatta , which he branded as bigger and better, he also reassured that with the improved Safety Standards, Persons would be encouraged further, to come out for Event with their Family and Friends.
The Bartica Easter Regatta Committee, also expresses it’s gratitude to the Maritime Administration (MARAD) for their support, and anticipates working along with all the relevant Personnel towards achieving a collectively successful Easter Regatta 2023 Power Boat Racing Competition.
