NURSING ASSISTANT CHARGED WITH TERRORISM GETS BAIL.

Twenty Three Years old Nursing Assistant Tianna Serena Lewis-King, of Better Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD) who was initially remanded to Prison for the Offence of Inciting Acts of Terrorism, has been granted Bail in the Sum of G$350,000.

Lewis-King, who was arrested earlier this Month, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before presiding Magistrate Madame Faith McGusty where the Charge was read to her, and she was not required to plead.

Bail was objected to by the Prosecutor, and the Accused was remanded to Prison. The Matter was then adjourned to the scheduled Date of Friday,May 30th,2025.

When it was called again, the Nursing Assistant – following an Application by her Lawyer – entered a “Not Guilty” plea, and was granted Bail.Lewis-King was wanted by the Police over a Voice recording, which was widely circulated on Social Media. In the Voice recording, the Woman falsely stated that she was present during the post mortem examination of Adriana Younge. She further falsely stated that she was sent there by the Minister of Health.

The Guyana Police Force (GPF) had contended that the recording “is clearly intended to create Public Mischief, pervert, and obstruct the Course of Justice, among other Criminal Offiences.
